DNA testing is a simple test. It involves ordering a test kit which includes a long Q-Tip type swab which is rubbed inside the cheek and DNA is collected and sent into Family Tree DNA for the sole and only purpose of tracing ones lineage. The DNA is used for NOTHING else.
It cannot detect illnesses or anything of a medical nature.
We will use the DNA to determine which family tree line you are in.
This information is retained for future generations to have to verify their own lineage to yours.
